Huge Thing announces a call for applications for the 8th edition of the pre-acceleration program in partnership with Google for Startups

The recruitment for the next edition of the Huge Thing program is underway. The month-long pre-acceleration program is addressed to business projects from CEE who create solutions based on new technologies and who already have an MVP (the simplest form of product/service). Participation in the program is a chance to get business skills and to verify a business model. The program will be conducted online. Google for Startups is the Program Partner.

Huge Thing is one of the longest-running operators of programs supporting the development of startups in Poland. This year’s spring edition of the program is addressed to the creators of technological projects in the pre-seed and seed phase.

– There have already been two editions of the Poland Prize program addressed to mature solutions created by foreign teams. It’s time now to support the teams which are at an earlier stage – says Monika Synoradzka, the Huge Thing CEO.

Startups that already have a working product and are recording their first revenues can choose from many various programs offered on the market. For those who are just starting to form a new team and are looking for a business model, this type of support is still lacking. We hope that the pre-acceleration program created by Huge Thing and Google for Startups will help accelerate the development of promising projects from the region. – adds Michał Kramarz, Head of Google for Startups in Central and Eastern Europe.

For Who?

Who can apply to participate in the Huge Thing and Google for Startups program? These can be teams that are working on technological solutions with global potential and whose projects are at an early stage. It is required to have an MVP – a simple version of a solution or a product, or of their prototype. The goal of the program will be to verify the business assumptions with the customers, preparing for fundraising and acquiring the so-called business cut. Projects can be submitted until May 17th.

The program will start on June 15th with the official Hello Day. For the subsequent 5 weeks the participants will take part in workshops and individual sessions with mentors. During this time, they will refine and test the business model, verify the assumptions with the potential customers, learn how to handle and measure sales activities, plan the communication, as well as learn how to prepare to obtain the first or next round of financing for the development of their company. Everything will end with the Demo Day, which is planned for the beginning of July.

What you will gain?

What will the participants gain? Access to the best market experts from Poland and abroad, and thus quite a large dose of business knowledge and the possibility to verify the solutions with the potential recipients, and perhaps also a chance to attract an investor. Participation in the program is also an opportunity to take advantage of the support of Google experts who will help the participants, inter alia, in defining the specific OKR-s, meaning the goals in the development of the company and the expected results, understanding the assumptions of building strong teams, as well as in designing services/products, implementing appropriate solutions based on a skillful data analysis.
