Huge Thing 4th Edion
The fourth edition of Huge Thing was carried out in cooperation with Alior Bank within the ScaleUp program – supported by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development.
We selected the best startups from CEE that had the potential not only to improve Aviva’s market competitiveness, but also its operational activity as an organization. In order to increase attractiveness of the HugeThing.vc acceleration program, we aimed at finding a partner who would actively support participating teams, giving them an opportunity to establish a cooperation with such a big organization for the first time. We decided to create a partnership with Aviva then.
We were looking for startups in the following areas: communication and customer service, product and sales, loss adjustment and payment of benefits, and organizational development. We managed to successfully accelerate 10 teams. During the program, the startups were participating in individual sessions and collective workshops. Each project had a mentor with whom they could define their goals. The startups started their work from creating a lean canvas, furthermore they defined their target group, marketing and sales channels, and finished with testing. During Speed Dating, the teams were also given an opportunity to meet venture capital representatives, and show their projects to corporations’ financial directors.
