We love all the feedback that we’re getting from you. Inspired by your questions we decided to gather all of the most frequently asked questions in one place to help and hopefully motivate you to apply. And here they are!
- What is Poland Prize powered by Huge Thing?
It is a 16-week-long acceleration program addressed to FinTech, MarTech, IoT, HR and Customer Care non-polish startups. Each team participating in the program will get up to 45 000 euro equity free financial support, 11 500 euro in expert services, amazing place to work in during the acceleration in Google for Startups Campus Warsaw, as well as Polish lessons and trips to neighbouring startup hubs.
- How does the application process look like?
Our application is divided into three stages. First is an online application, second is an interview and the last one is a week-long pre-acceleration. The application process is open until 18th of November 2018. We’ll contact chosen startups directly and invite them for an online interview. For the third part of the recruitment process, chosen teams will be invited to the pre-acceleration program. Pre-accelerator takes place in Warsaw, Poland. It lasts for the whole business week and is obligatory.
- What type of startups can apply for the program?
Currently, we’re looking for FinTech, MarTech, IoT and all of the startups that could work with our corporate partners on their specific challenges, for example, HR or Customer Care businesses. This program is dedicated to both: early-stage startups, who have their MVP ready, as well as the more advanced ones, with already build product and first customers. Each startup will have its own individual learning path corresponding to its needs.
- Can polish startups apply as well?
This particular program is addressed to non-Polish startups. That means that at least one founder does not have polish citizenship and a half or more shares belongs to non-polish founders. But don’t worry! We have a lot of different project going on and most of them are directed towards polish startups as well. - What should I write in my application?
You can apply for our Poland Prize powered by Huge Thing program via Vestbee platform here LINK. To complete the application you need to fill your startup profile, as well as a delegated form. Beside answering short questions, you can also attach related documents of your choosing e.g. pitch deck.
- Do I need to fill my application in English?
The program itself is directed to startups from all around the world. Our edition focuses mostly on CEE region. That’s why communication, application process and all of the activities during the program are conducted in English. So to take part in the acceleration, communicative level of English is required. And that’s why the application itself needs to be filled in English as well.
- When will I know did I get to the second stage of the process?
That depends on when you submit your application. We’re reviewing the forms as they come in. That’s why the first batch of online interviews will start in the second part of November.
- What is pre-acceleration?
The third and last part of the recruitment process for Poland Prize powered by Huge Thing is a pre-acceleration program. It lasts one business week and takes place in Google for Startups Campus in Warsaw, Poland. Basically, it’s a mini version of a normal program. It gives us a chance to get to know you a little bit better, and for you to see what you can expect during the proper acceleration.
- If I get in, when will I get the grant?
The financial grant will be distributed in batches. At the beginning of the program, each startup in cooperation with its dedicated Tutor will introduce specific milestones that they want to achieve during the acceleration. And for the completion of each milestone, the next part of the grant will be given.
- How big is the grant?
Each startup participating in the program will get up to 45 000 euro equity free financial support, 11 500 euro in expert services, amazing place to work in during the acceleration in Google for Startups Campus Warsaw, as well as Polish lessons and trips to neighbouring startup hubs.
- Do you take equity?
No. Participation in the program is free of charge. We don’t take any equity from you.
